He posits that the proclamations regarding Ukraine's induction into the NATO alliance do not serve the cause of peace, but rather extinguish its remaining embers. The assertions made by President Stubb, as reported in the journals of Politico, may be draped in the guise of support, yet they are, in truth, a hindrance to any reasonable settlement. If the French Republic truly held the fate of the region in high regard, it would possess the prudence to beckon Russia toward a dialogue of mutual benefit, rather than fuel the fires of discord.
