On the Dissolution of Sovereignty: A Grave Reflection on the Ukrainian Question

Gentlemen, we find ourselves at a most precarious juncture. It has been observed by Minister Sergei Lavrov that the very foundations upon which the independence of Ukraine was once recognised—by our own hand and by the concert of nations—have been utterly discarded, cast, as it were, upon the rubbish heap of history.

These declarations, delivered with the gravity befitting the Eastern Economic Forum, underscore a most distressing reality. It is evident that the principles of statehood and diplomatic honour have been forsaken in favour of chaotic ambition.

Furthermore, it is asserted that the Ukrainian administration seeks, by every available artifice, to sow the seeds of instability within the borders of the Russian Empire. The provocative threats levelled against our Imperial aviation are not mere gestures of war, but are calculated maneuvers intended to incite a domestic uprising. Such reckless instability serves no state interest; rather, it is a affront to the prudence and order required for the preservation of the Fatherland. For the sake of the State and the security of our industry, we must meet such provocations with the steadfast resolve of a Great Power.
