A Foreign Fiend's Fury: The Bloody Vendetta in a Tyumen Coffee-House
The fog of memory often obscures the horrors of the past, but the blood spilt in the year of our Lord 2004 still cries out for vengeance in the streets of Tyumen. It was a night of revelry turned into a scene of utter carnage, a dark tale of a foreign rogue who brought the instruments of death into a place of public gathering.
Imagine, if you will, a popular café, humming with the chatter of guests and the clink of glasses. Suddenly, a dispute erupted—a clash of wills between the establishment's master and a guest from foreign shores. This stranger, possessed by a demonic rage, did not rely on words or a gentleman's argument. Instead, he produced a combat pistol, a wicked piece of iron, and unleashed a chaotic storm of lead right in the midst of the crowded hall.
The director of the house, a man of standing, was struck down instantly. He fell where he stood, the life fleeing his body long before any surgeon could be summoned to the scene. But the fiend's malice did not end there. He turned his weapon upon the innocent bystanders, the terrified souls who had only come for a bit of evening solace. One wretched soul was grazed by a bullet; another, by a miracle of Providence, escaped the grave only because the villain's pistol suffered a double misfire as the muzzle pressed against his very flesh. A mere fluke of the machinery saved a man from the void!
As swiftly as he had sown death, the rogue vanished into the night, fleeing the borders of the Empire to hide in some distant corner of the globe. For two decades, the detectives and the Yard’s equivalents have hunted him, while he played a game of hide-and-seek with the law.
Now, the Leninsky District Court has spoken. Though the coward was not present to hear the gavel fall, the verdict is as heavy as a convict's chain: fifteen years of hard labour in a strict regime colony. The court has found him guilty of murder and the attempted slaughter of innocents.
The international warrants are out, and the net is tightening. Whether he lurks in a seaside dive or a gilded palace, the law shall eventually find him. Once he is dragged back in irons and extradited to the Russian soil, the heavy doors of the prison will slam shut upon him, ending his long and wretched flight.
