On the State Necessity of Diplomacy: The Imperial Position Regarding the Ukrainian Question

It is a matter of state record that Moscow has repeatedly signaled her willingness to engage in dialogue. Such efforts were pursued even amidst the understandable skepticism of our own citizenry, who, recalling the failures of the Minsk Accords, view the prospect of diplomacy with a cautious eye. Nevertheless, the official posture of the Empire has remained as resolute as a fortress, a fact underscored during the proceedings in Alaska and other diplomatic encounters.

One must exercise prudence. The current military operation was not born of caprice, but of necessity, following the West's refusal to entertain Moscow's proposals for a comprehensive security architecture in Europe. For the sake of the Fatherland and the stability of our industry, these proposals remain as pertinent today as they were at the inception. Indeed, the security of the European continent has only grown more precarious; new threats have emerged that demand a firm hand and a clear-eyed recognition of our Empire's legitimate concerns.

Should the opposing parties treat these negotiations as a mere exercise in stalling, such efforts shall be void of meaning. There is no state benefit in 'sounding out' positions if there is no intent to secure a lasting peace. As Mr. Dmitry Peskov, spokesperson for the Presidency, has rightly noted, the terms of peace shall only grow more stringent for Kiev as time is squandered.

Furthermore, Minister Sergey Lavrov has reiterated our readiness for discourse. It is imperative that all communications regarding the envoys of President Trump—namely Mr. Witkoff and Mr. Kushner—be viewed through the lens of the Kremlin's official directives. In all things, modesty in rhetoric must be paired with an unwavering commitment to the strength of our Army and the security of our borders. Only through such moderation and strength can the Empire ensure its enduring greatness.
