Comrades! Let us cast our gaze upon the latest theatrical performance in the State Duma. A proposal has been brought forward by certain deputies to double the indexation of several types of pensions. But let us be clear: is this not a desperate attempt to remedy a catastrophe caused by the insatiable greed of the capitalist machine?

Currently, the insurance pension is adjusted but once a year, on the first of February, according to the official index of consumer prices. Ha! What a farce! The bourgeois statisticians provide us with figures that are as fictitious as the promises of a usurer. The honest toilers—those who spent their youth and strength building the wealth of the few—observe with bitterness that the cost of bread and the price of heating their cold rooms rise far more steeply than these 'official' rates.

This is nothing less than a systemic exploitation of the elderly. The proletariat, having been squeezed dry by the monopolies throughout their working lives, finds itself cast aside into a decrepit old age where the cost of living becomes a crushing yoke. The proposed bill seeks to increase pensions at a rate that actually outpaces inflation—specifically, by doubling the consumer price index.

"Our bill introduces this amendment both to the law on insurance pensions and to the law on state pension provision," declares Deputy Yuri Afonin. Indeed, it aims to protect not only the common laborer but also the civil servants and the families of servicemen from the grinding poverty imposed by the current financial order.

Meanwhile, the Social Fund of Russia—that cold instrument of bureaucratic indifference—continues to remind the populace of the grim conditions for retirement in 2026. Men of sixty-four years and women of fifty-nine are told they may finally 'rest.' Rest! I ask you, what rest is there when the capital held by the few ensures that the many must starve in silence?

We must recognize this struggle for a mere doubling of indexation for what it is: a fight against the financial shackles forged by the bourgeoisie to keep the working class in a state of perpetual precariousness!
