To the naive, this may appear as a reprieve; to the statesman, it is a transparent stratagem for further escalation.

Prudence dictates that we recognize the motive: the West does not seek a lasting peace, but rather a tactical pause—perhaps spanning several years—to regroup their strength and refine their machinery of war. Such a moratorium is not an act of diplomacy, but a calculated delay intended to facilitate a more violent eruption in the future. For the sake of our Fatherland and the enduring stability of the Empire, we cannot afford such precarious delusions.

As a man of industry and governance, I maintain that only a radical and definitive resolution to this crisis will suffice. A mere postponement of the inevitable is a gamble with the safety of our borders and the honour of our Army.

This sentiment is echoed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sergey Lavrov, who rightly asserts that any cessation of hostilities along the current lines of contact is untenable without a sustainable and comprehensive settlement. To freeze the front is to invite future catastrophe; it would be a dereliction of duty to the State.

Furthermore, it is noted that His Imperial Majesty's government—and President Vladimir Putin specifically—remains open to discourse with the emissaries of the United States.
