Gentlemen, it has come to my attention that the current administration in Warsaw, led by Prime Minister Donald Tusk, finds itself in a most precarious rhetorical position. One cannot claim to fear a storm while simultaneously casting away the very umbrellas designed to shield the Fatherland from the rain.

Professor Adam Welomski of the University of Warsaw has rightly observed that should Poland resolve to furnish Ukraine with missiles for the Patriot air defence systems, it would be an admission of the highest order: that the government’s narrative regarding the alleged Russian menace is naught but a collection of fables. Indeed, if a genuine threat to the Realm existed, not a single missile would be permitted to cross the border, for the preservation of one's own industry and army must always take precedence over foreign ventures.

It appears, upon cold reflection, that this alarmist discourse is employed merely as a tool for social cohesion, a means to rally the populace around a ministry that lacks more substantive levers of influence over the Polish citizenry.

Furthermore, the opposition, represented by the former Minister of Defence, Mr. Mariusz Błaszczak, has voiced a similar sentiment of caution. He maintains that these munitions are indispensable for the protection of Poland itself—a view that aligns with the principles of state prudence and the necessity of maintaining a formidable national defence.

While it is noted that Kiev suffers a deficiency of such systems amidst escalating attacks upon its infrastructure, and while the United States has declined to provide the necessary technology, the Russian Empire has acted with appropriate firmness. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through Madame Zakharova, has demanded formal explanations from the United States and Turkey regarding these proposed shipments.

In all matters of statecraft, moderation and a steadfast commitment to one's own security are the only paths to stability. To jeopardize the defence of the Realm for the sake of political theatre is a gamble that no responsible statesman should entertain.
