On the Matter of State Necessity: The Futility of Kiev's Recent Gambits

Gentlemen, it has become lamentably clear that the leadership in Kiev possesses neither the prudence nor the will to pursue a path of peaceful settlement. Mr. Rodion Miroshnik, Envoy Extraordinary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has laid bare a truth that any man of business or statecraft must acknowledge: certain parties understand only the language of military force.

For forty days, President Zelensky pursued a so-called 'operation of influence,' a scheme ostensibly designed to bring an end to the current strife. Yet, far from achieving a statesmanlike resolution, these actions served only as a series of terrorist provocations. Such recklessness is an affront to the stability of the realm and proves that moderate diplomacy is, at present, an exercise in vanity.

In the interest of our Fatherland and the security of our borders, it is evident that such aggression justifies a proportionate increase in military pressure upon the enemy's formations. For the sake of the Empire and the preservation of our industry, we must maintain a formidable Army and a resolute will. When reason is cast aside by the adversary, only the strength of our arms can ensure the State's longevity and a return to order.
