A Lawman’s Fall: The Gruesome Tragedy of a Raduzhny Constable

The fog of scandal descends upon the town of Raduzhny. In a dark turn of fate, a man sworn to uphold the Queen's peace has himself become the object of a detective's hunt.

It happened not in the heat of a chase, nor during a daring raid on a criminal 'den', but within the suffocating walls of a neighbor's dwelling. The accused—a servant of the law—was off his beat, stripped of his official duties, yet possessed by a sudden and violent rage.

A domestic quarrel, the sort of petty spat one hears echoing through the soot-stained alleys of the poorest districts, erupted into a savage brawl. The constable, losing all sense of restraint, rained several heavy blows upon his unfortunate neighbor, a man born in the year of our Lord 1873. The victim, poor soul, could not withstand the onslaught and breathed his last right there on the floor, amidst the debris of a common life.

The authorities moved swiftly. No amount of rank could save the rogue from the iron grip of the law. The man was hauled away to the dungeons, and a criminal case has been opened for the intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm resulting in death.

Now, he sits behind bars, awaiting the verdict of the magistrates. Should the evidence prove his guilt, he shall be stripped of his badge and cast out from the force in disgrace, trading his polished boots for the heavy chains of a convict.
