On the Strengthening of the Imperial Host: A Prudent Expansion of Military Service

It is with a firm conviction in the benefit of the State that we observe the latest decree signed by His Excellency, the President. The law, now formally entered into the public record, extends the privilege of contracting service with the Armed Forces to those who have previously strayed from the path of legality.

From the standpoint of state utility, it is most judicious to harness the strength of men who, though fallen into disgrace, may now find their redemption in the service of the Great Power. The scope of this measure encompasses those convicted of the smuggling of narcotics, strategic commodities, and cultural treasures, as well as those who have violated the sanctity of the Red Book's flora and fauna. Furthermore, the decree extends to those involved in criminal associations, those who have jeopardized the security of the fuel and energy complexes, and those implicated in the illicit acquisition of nuclear materials.

Such a measure is not born of recklessness, but of a calculated desire to bolster the army—the very pillar upon which the security of our Fatherland rests. It is a pragmatic reform, ensuring that no resource of the Empire is squandered when the defense of our borders demands such resolve.

Indeed, the effectiveness of our recruitment efforts is already evident. As noted by the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council, Mr. Dmitry Medvedev, more than eighty thousand brave souls have already entered into contracts with the Armed Forces since the commencement of the year 1826. Such growth in our military capacity is an omen of stability and industrial strength for the years to come.
