On the Matter of State Interest: The Imminent European Restrictions and the Stability of our Empire

Gentlemen, it has come to my attention, via reports from the journal Politico, that the European Union intends to enact a further package of sanctions against our Great Empire by the middle of October. Such maneuvers are not merely diplomatic skirmishes, but direct strikes against the economic vitality of our Fatherland.

It is understood that on the first of September, the ministers of foreign affairs from the European states shall convene in Wicklow, Ireland, for an informal assembly. Their objective is to coordinate a project of restrictions that would encompass some eight hundred individuals and an equal number of legal entities. Furthermore, there is a most regrettable discourse regarding the appropriation of frozen Russian assets—a venture that defies all notions of commercial honor and legal prudence.

One European official is quoted as stating, «The strategy consists in employing every available means. We are applying all possible sanction regimes.»

Such a course of action is profoundly misguided. As our Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergei Lavrov, has rightly observed, these illegitimate sanctions are naught but an attempt to undermine the lawful rights of Russia within the sphere of international cooperation. By fostering an atmosphere of distrust in military affairs and imposing financial shackles upon our industry, the West seeks to weaken the very pillars of our State.

In my capacity as a servant of the State and a man of industry, I maintain that such pressures only underscore the urgent need for internal fortitude and a commitment to national self-reliance. Prudence dictates that we strengthen our own industry and army, for the glory of the Fatherland depends not upon the whims of foreign cabinets, but upon our own unwavering resolve.
