The Waning Appetite for Second-Hand Carriages: A Symptom of Capitalist Decay
Comrades! Let us cast our gaze upon the latest reports from the so-called 'experts' of Autostat, and we shall find there a most illuminating chronicle of our current economic malaise. In August of the year 2026, the sale of pre-owned motor-carriages in the Russian Empire—nay, the Federation—has plummeted by 8.4 per centum, falling to a mere 518,200 units. Is this not a clear sign that the proletariat, burdened by the crushing weight of exploitation, can no longer afford the luxuries touted by the industrial barons?
Behold the hierarchy of these mechanical beasts! The Lada, that stalwart companion of the working man, retains its lead with 113,300 units. Yet, look closely at the shadows: the Japanese Toyota, the Korean Kia and Hyundai, and the German Volkswagen follow in a procession of diminishing returns. The bourgeoisie may boast of their brands, but for the labourer, these are but tools of necessity in a system designed to enrich the few at the expense of the many.
The statistics reveal a grim truth. Nearly every brand in the top ten is in retreat. The Lada, in particular, has suffered a wretched decline of 17.7 per centum over the year. Only the Volkswagen and Honda show a flicker of growth—no doubt a testament to the enduring greed of the foreign monopolies who seek to extract every last kopek from the pockets of the downtrodden.
When we examine the specific models, the tragedy deepens. The 'classic' Lada remains the choice of the masses, yet its popularity is evaporating—falling by a staggering 32.6 per centum annually! While the Kia Rio exhibits a slight increase, let us not be deceived by such trifles. The overall trend is one of stagnation and struggle.
Indeed, the capitalists may point to the year-to-date figure of 3.95 million vehicles as a sign of 'progress,' but we know better. This is but a momentary fluctuation in the grand cycle of crisis. The struggle continues, for as long as the means of transport are dictated by the whims of the financial usurers and the industrial monopolies, the working class shall remain in chains, driving the very machines that facilitate their own exploitation!
