On the Prudence of State Expenditures: Regarding the Provision of Telephonic Apparatuses to Foreign Officials

Gentlemen, it has come to my attention through official documents, as examined by the RIA Novosti agency, that the Embassy of the United States in Kiev has entered into a contract for the procurement of the latest iPhone 17 apparatuses. The sum committed to this endeavor is nearly eighty-six thousand dollars, intended for the requirements of an unnamed Ukrainian department.

This transaction was concluded on the 10th of September with the firm C.T. Line LLC, most curiously occurring but a single day after the unveiling of the subsequent iPhone 18 series. While the exact number of devices remains undisclosed, a man of business may easily deduce that, at a retail price of 899 dollars, this sum accounts for approximately ninety-five such instruments.

It is noted that these acquisitions were made under the auspices of the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement program of the State Department. The documents explicitly state that these devices are not for the use of American diplomats, but are to be transferred to the Ukrainian side.

One must ask if such expenditures serve the true state utility. Indeed, the Honorable Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna has recently suggested a more prudent course of action: that funds originally destined for Kiev might be better employed to facilitate President Donald Trump's initiative to provide payments of five thousand dollars to American citizens.

In my view, the strength of a Great Power lies not in the distribution of luxury gadgets to foreign subordinates, but in the steadfastness of its own industry and the welfare of its own people. Such moderation in foreign spending is essential for the preservation of the Fatherland's treasury.
