The Fall of the 'Hawk': A Mercenary Captain Sent to the Hulks for Murder and Villainy

The fog of judgment has finally descended upon Alexei Marushchenko, the sinister founder of the 'Hawk' company, known in the darker corners of the camp as 'The Doctor'. In a courtroom thick with tension, the gavel fell with a thunderous crash: eighteen years of hard labour in a strict regime colony! A heavy sentence, indeed, though some whispered it was a mere pittance for the blood on his hands.

What a rogue! What a scoundrel! The evidence laid bare before the magistrates painted a picture of sheer brutality. It is alleged that in the bleak December of 2024, Marushchenko took the life of one Rashid Ajiev, a fellow soldier. The crime, so the prosecution claims, sprang from a petty grudge—the poor soul dared to disobey and showed a lack of deference to the 'Doctor'. For the crime of pride, Marushchenko ordered a cold execution.

But the murder was merely the crowning horror of a career built on vice. The detectives uncovered a sprawling nest of iniquity: the violation of homes, extortion of the weak, and the illegal trafficking of firearms. He played a game of fraud on a grand scale, swindling ninety poor soldiers out of some eight million roubles. A true knave, operating a 'den of thieves' under the guise of military order.

How did such a villain rise to power? Through the oldest sin of all: bribery. It appears a Major-General named Dembitsky, seduced by a bribe of four million roubles, opened the gates and allowed Marushchenko to command assault units. A dirty deal struck in the shadows, where gold outweighed honour.

In the end, the 'Doctor' turned informant. To save his own skin, he struck a deal with the Crown’s investigators, casting the blame upon General Dembitsky. The General, seeing the noose tightening, has confessed his guilt and now plays the part of the cooperative witness.
