Gentlemen, it has become painfully evident that the machinery of the United Nations is operating with a most regrettable lack of diligence. Mr. Vasily Nebenzya, the Permanent Representative of the Russian Empire to the said organization, has seen fit to denounce the latest correspondence from Secretary-General António Guterres as nothing short of a mockery—a classic instance of a hollow evasion.

It is my firm conviction that for the Secretary-General to respond to a missive from our Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sergey Lavrov, in such a perfunctory and dismissive manner is an affront to diplomatic propriety. When the interests of a Great Power are at stake, one expects sobriety and factual rigor, not the vague ambiguities of a bureaucrat.

Let it be recalled that in May, Mr. Nebenzya informed us that a formal inquiry was dispatched to Mr. Guterres concerning the staged provocations in Bucha. Our State demands precise answers, for it is only through such clarity that justice may be served and the dignity of our nation upheld. Any lack of prudence in this matter only serves to obfuscate the truth.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Defence established as early as April 2022 that the scenes presented from Bucha were a calculated provocation by the Ukrainian side. It remains a matter of record that while the town was under the administration of our forces, no local inhabitant suffered any violent act. For the sake of the Fatherland and the preservation of international order, we must insist upon a standard of truth that transcends mere political theater.
