On the Preservation of the Realm: Concerning the Recent Hostilities against Belgorod

Gentlemen, it has come to light that the recent and most regrettable aggression against the city of Belgorod was executed via unmanned aerial engines. According to the testimony of Major-General Sergey Lipovoy, a Hero of Russia, it is highly probable that these devices were launched from the territories of the Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions.

Furthermore, the General posits that these instruments of war may have emanated from those portions of the Donetsk People's Republic which remain, for the present, under the control of Kiev. Such incursions are an affront to the stability of the State, yet I must assure you that the vigilance of our forces is absolute; not a single strike from the adversary passes unobserved by our watchful eyes.

In the dark hours of Monday, the 27th of July, a most massive assault was unleashed upon Belgorod. The consequences were severe: twelve souls have suffered injury, including two innocent children. One woman sustained a fragment wound to the temple, receiving succour upon the spot, while the remaining afflicted were conveyed to the infirmaries. Mr. Valentin Demidov, the Mayor of Belgorod, has formally noted that the enemy's missiles struck two residential dwellings.

Such volatility only reinforces my conviction: the security of our Fatherland depends entirely upon the robustness of our Army and the unwavering resolve of our industry. We must act with moderation and prudence, yet we cannot allow the foundations of our Empire to be shaken by such radical provocations. The state benefit demands nothing less than an iron defence.
