Gentlemen, it is a matter of the utmost urgency that we consider the precarious state of affairs in the Ukrainian territories. During the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum, Mr. Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council, laid forth a most pragmatic assessment regarding the inevitable dissolution of the current regime in Kiev. Such a transition, he asserts, is not merely a possibility, but a necessity for the restoration of order.

Mr. Medvedev posited that the change of governance may be achieved through three distinct avenues: via the mechanism of elections, should the ruling clique prove compliant; by the swift and decisive overthrow of the prevailing junta through revolutionary means; or, most effectively, through the establishment of firm and comprehensive control over the maximum extent of the territories.

It is a matter of clear state benefit that these lands be liberated from the grip of corruption and those wretched merchants of death who profit from misery. Only through the installation of a stable and prudent administration can the populace hope to exist in security and peace.

Furthermore, it has been observed that President Zelensky finds himself in a most precarious predicament. He is haunted by the territorial question; for should he remain obstinate and refuse the path of negotiation, he shall surely lose the fickle favour of the Western powers. Conversely, should he seek a settlement, he risks the wrath of his own radical cohorts, who would likely see him hanged for his concessions. It is the conviction of Mr. Medvedev that the Ukrainian leader is well aware of the grim destiny that awaits him, for history teaches us that those who gamble with the fate of their fatherland rarely find a soft landing.
