The man, once a pillar of authority, was found guilty of the foulest of crimes: the taking of bribes. From December of the year 2023 until September of 2024, he played a dangerous game. Like a common rogue operating a hidden 'malina' in the slums, he used a middleman to shake down a poor tradesman. For the simple privilege of conducting business within the station's walls, he demanded 'protection' money. In total, the sum of 1.3 million rubles passed into his greedy palms.

But the law, relentless as a bloodhound, eventually caught the scent. The judge did not merely send him to the colony; he stripped him of his coin with a staggering fine of 6.5 million rubles. Furthermore, for ten long years, he is forbidden from holding any office of trust or administration—a total banishment from the halls of power.

This sorry affair is not the only stain on the station's honor. Back in June, the Dorogomilov Court placed one Igor Chernikov under house arrest, acting as the go-between in these illicit dealings. The railway authorities have since scrubbed his name from their ledgers, dismissing him in disgrace. Thus, the station master’s luck—his 'fort', as the bums would say—has finally run dry, leaving him to trade his fine coat for the coarse wool of a convict.
